Supervise: Our pool Director will visit your pool at least weekly to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of your pool. The Director will also be in constant contact with managers to address any health or safety issues that may arise. The Director will always be available to answer and questions you may have and will quickly respond to any problems or concerns.

Collect membership fees or dues

Open and close the pool - winterize, drain and clean. We will make recommendations at the beginning of the season and at the close of the season for any services or repairs that will keep your pool running in top order. MSM will assist in the set-up and ordering of pool equipment and pool chemicals, the promotion of pool memberships, and general preparation for the upcoming season. MSM will provide a promotional brochure detailing programs, activities, and services provided.

Advise of any pool damages or repair needs and bid out the cost for the most cost and safety effective choice.

Manage inclement weather and lightning breaks through the manager on duty.

Payroll, Taxes, Insurance, and Workers Comp

Reporting: All reports will be generated on a standard reporting form created to meet the reporting requirements.  In addition, chemical logs, daily logs, and incident logs will be completed according to safety guidelines, and will be kept on file in hard copy and electronically in the MSM Office. All reports will be submitted in a timely manner.

 

Additional record keeping will include facility reservations, lists of ideas from interested members, special interest contact information (e.g. swim team), and facility comments/complaints.  A daily managers’ log will also be kept on file for review as requested by MSM Directors or The District.

Pool and Community Center Management

Mountain Shadow Management provides full-service, turn-key Pool and Community Center Management.  These services include, but are not limited to:

· Management. Mountain Shadow Management has developed a unique pool  and community center management system designed to save you money and provide a fun and helpful environment.  Our directors have several years of pool and facility management experience and will hire, train, and oversee full-time on-site managers. The on-site manager will have several responsibilities, including assisting members and overseeing staff.  Our head lifeguards work closely with the onsite manager to ensure the smooth operation and proper chemical balance of the pool throughout the day.  Our lifeguards and rec staff will establish a rapport with members of your community to facilitate an enjoyable “country-club” atmosphere at your pool or recreation facility.

· Pool Set-Up. Mountain Shadow Management has relationships with several furniture and pool equipment vendors and can assist in designing a professional and functional pool with lifeguard equipment, chaise lounges, chairs, tables, benches, umbrellas, and other equipment that is built to last. 

· Maintenance: We can provide your recreation center and pool with general equipment maintenance and have the ability to provide on call services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

· Splash Park ManagementMountain Shadow Management has experience with the nuances, management, and upkeep of  splash park and fountain-type water features.

· Membership and Promotions. Mountain Shadow Management will take a proactive role in attracting and promoting memberships for your pool or community center.  We can also track memberships, collect fees, and provide database support for your community.

· Health and Safety. Our Directors have extensive experience in on-site health and safety procedures; local, state, and national pool/spa regulations; and chemical management. 

· Supervision. Our pool Directors will work closely with the onsite managers on a daily basis to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of your pool.

· Pool Opening and Closing:   We can prepare your pool for the upcoming season and winterize your pool at the end of the season.  Pool Opening includes the following tasks as needed: Removing and on-site storing of pool covers; cleaning the pool and deck area; clearing the plumbing lines; verifying the proper operation of all equipment including the pumps, filters, decontamination system, boiler, etc.; drain and acid wash the pool; fill pool and begin pool circulation and filtration; balance chemicals; install ladders, chairs, and other pool equipment; set-up deck and clean pool furniture; and inspect all aspects of pool operation prior to opening. Pool Closing includes the following tasks as needed: cleaning and on-site storing of all pool furniture and equipment, facility preparation for the off-season, winterization of the pool and facility plumbing, off-season shut-down of pool operation equipment, installing pool cover for season, proper storage of chemicals throughout the off-season. 

· Security.  Mountain Shadow Management has experience with several types of pool security systems including on-site security, motion sensors, full-time off-site security monitoring, video monitoring, drive-by security and other systems.  We can help your community or organization come up with a plan that’s right for your facility.

· Pool Chemicals. Our directors and managers are experienced in water chemistry and the handing of pool chemicals, and will keep detailed records regarding pool chemicals throughout the summer.  We will provide daily chemical log sheets to  record chemicals, water parameters,  temperature, pool load, number of visitors, and other pertinent information.
