Welcome to the Wolf Ranch Recreation Center Information Page Hours of operation: Daily 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Membership Office open 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Saturdays, and by appointment (chad@wolf-ranch.com) Also contact Sharon for information (sharon@wolf-ranch.com) 2008 Memberships Rates: Pool and Recreation Center Memberships for 2008 are as follows (renewing members allowed 2007 prices): $350.00 for a family (8 free guest passes included) - 2007 = $250.00 $210.00 per couple (5 free guest passes included) - 2007 = $150.00 $140.00 per individual (2 free guest passes included) - 2007 = $100.00 $140.00 for a nanny—16 years of age minimum (one nanny season pass available per membership) $5.00 per person per visit for a guest. (Guests must be accompanied by a member) $40.00 per 10-pack guest passes (pre-purchased) Memberships purchased during the 2007 fiscal year (ending March 31, 2008) will allow the member to lock in the 2007 for 2008. Memberships during the off-season (after the pool closes) are prorated 50%. For a detailed explanation on membership click here. Signing Up: Memberships can be purchased (cash or check only) at the pool office . Memberships will include magnetic cards with a picture ID for each member more than 11 years of age. Membership Cards will be required to enter the pool area at any time—no exceptions. Replacement cards will be issued at a cost of $25.00 per card. Come by the pool/clubhouse to fill out a membership package, sign up for classes, swim lessons, and other activities, and to receive your membership cards. Proof of Residency is required for member sign-up. One of the following (along with a driver’s license or Federal photo ID card) are the only accepted forms of proof of residency: Warranty Deed Bill of Sale Settlement Statement from Closing Current El Paso County Tax Notice Current Rental Agreement (if renting) Signed Contract stating your Name, the Closing Date, and the Property Address Current Utility Bill with name and address Occupancy Affidavit from owner, if renting (must be notarized) - Affidavit available at the pool office Pool Rules: A complete list of pool rules is available by clicking here. Facility Rentals: Both the Clubhouse and Pool area are available for private rental for members. The clubhouse may be rented between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM and the pool may be rented before or after normal hours of operation. Only beer and wine will allowed in the clubhouse, and must be supervised by an approved security company. For the complete rental policy including prices and rules click here. Planned Activities: Many programs and activities will be offered to Wolf Ranch Recreation Center members and their guests (guests will be charged the standard guest fee plus any program or activity fee). The following is a brief list of activities that may be scheduled at the pool and/or clubhouse throughout the year, based on interest. Pre-registration and minimum participation may be required for each activity and limited space may apply. If you would like to see additional activities or would like to volunteer to teach a class or host an activity, please contact a recreation staff manager, or send us an email at (click here). Holiday Activities and Games — Pool games and contests will be offered to members and their guests during special events at the pool during the summer. Halloween Trick or Treat—Bring the children to the club house the evening of October 31 for games, activities, and trick or treating. This activity will be open to everyone in the Wolf Ranch neighborhood and their guests. Water Aerobics — Keep in shape this summer with our free water aerobics classes. Classes will focus on resistance training using water noodles and other water aerobics techniques. Taught by the recreation staff. Swim Lessons— YMCA swim programs will be offered throughout the summer in 2-week increments. Each session will include eight (8) 1/2-hour classes for swimmers of any ability. Classes run Mondays through Thursdays (Fridays are make-up days for inclement weather) Class times: 8:45 to 9:15, 9:20 to 9:50, 9:55 to 10:25, 10:30 to 11:00, and 11:05 to 11:30. Sign up at the pool or at the Briargate YMCA. Session 1: July 16 through July 26 Session 2: July 30 through August 9th. Minimum enrollment required, space limited. Additional sessions may be offered based upon demand. Cooking Classes — Classes will be taught by professional chefs and may be offered for all abilities. Cooking Club — Share your favorite recipes with your neighbors and friends. A each meeting, a club member will plan and prepare dinner for members of the cooking club and will share their recipes with the group. Dinner Clubs — Each month members of the Dinner Club will choose a local restaurant and will enjoy an evening away from the kids. The highlight of the year will include a progressive dinner throughout the neighborhood. This is a great way to meet and get to know your neighbors. Scrapbooking Classes — Professional scrapbookers will offer exciting tips and products during these classes. Scrapbooking Clubs — Share your favorite pictures, tools, and scrapbooking ideas with members of this club. Aerobics Classes - Professional instructors will provide classes for many aerobics disciplines including Pilates, dance aerobics, step aerobics, martial arts, etc. Game Night— If you enjoy playing games and would like to get to know others with the same interests, join our game nights. Games will include board games, DVD games, card games, etc. Poker Night— Enjoy fun and challenging poker events throughout the year and test your bluffing skills with your neighbors. Texas Hold-em, 5-card stud, etc. will be played at these events. Bridge Club, Bunco Club, etc.— Enjoy your favorite card and dice games with others in your neighborhood. CPR classes — become certified in CPR and other life-saving methods. Taught by certified CPR instructors. You could save someone’s life one day. Past My Bedtime: Kid’s Night Out — Kids can come to the clubhouse for an evening filled with group activities, games, snacks, and movies. 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Adult Swim— Adult swim times may be offered in the mornings from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and for 10-minutes every hour of pool operation. Only members 18 and over will be allowed into the pool area for the morning swims, and only members aged 18 and above will be allowed into the pool during the 10-minute adult swim. Toddlers may swim with an adult during the 10-minute adult swim, provided they are dependent upon and always in contact with the adult. Strength Training Classes — Strength training using dumbbells, balls, resistance equipment, and other equipment will be offered to all ages. A great way to keep in shape and tone those muscles.
